In collaboration with OC Public Works, the City of San Clemente hosted a "Peek at La Pata" hike for interested residents on Saturday, January 23. The fun event attracted around 250 people and gave participants an up-close look at the La Pata Avenue Extension Project.

This is a City meeting about City improvements to the existing Camino del Rio. This meeting is not regarding the La Pata Extension Project.
The City will be holding this Neighborhood Workshop to receive public input to help define project goals and objectives, performance measures, and design strategies to achieve project goals for Camino Del Rio. The project background, schedule, and purpose will be presented. Residents and all interested parties are invited to attend and provide input into the project.
The La Pata Avenue Extension Project Team is proud to announce that refuse removal was completed on August 3, 2015! Approximately 800,000 cubic yards of refuse were excavated and relocated to another location within Prima Deshecha Landfill to facilitate the construction of this project. The project will improve regional mobility for commuters by providing a direct connection between the communities of San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente.
